Key Functions of the Open AXIS Group include:

► Promotion of XML as the preferred electronic messaging structure for connectivity to airline systems
► Adoption, promotion and maintenance of the group’s Airline XML Integration Standard schema
► Advocacy on behalf of its members and the industry at large for innovation and collaboration in matters of
     airline distribution
► Offering of services to the industry including Support for the Open AXIS Group standard, Certification
      Procedures, and Collaboration with other industry standards organizations

Why another standards organization?
Given the intense need for standards for airline connectivity and distribution, inclusive of new airline merchandising strategies, it was determined that a new organization dedicated to airline connectivity was required. An airline-focused group dedicated to full XML Schema standards accelerates the pace of development  and adoption, and the ultimate speed to market. In addition, close collaboration with other industry organizations and standards groups is anticipated to further deepen the level and scope of innovation for all.

Why Join?

It is not required to join Open AXIS Group to use its standard, which can be downloaded from this website. However, in order to have input on the standard, membership is required.
